Professor Mauro Perretti, PhD
Mauro Perretti, PhD (Director since 2003) is a Professor of Immunopharmacology
and Senior Research Fellow of the Arthritis Research Campaign UK.
He joined the William Harvey Research Institute in 1991 after a
4-year experience at the Sclavo Research Centre (Siena, Italy).
He obtained a degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University
of Florence (Italy) in 1985.
His inflammation research of the last decade has focussed on endogenous
anti-inflammatory mediators and their receptors as innovative targets
for the development of novel therapeutics.
