William Harvey Press
Books - Clinical Significance and Potential of Selective COX-2 Inhibitors

SUMMARY
This volume reviews the current knowledge of the role of cyclooxygenase-2 in inflamed
joints, cancers, Alzheimer's disease and parturition and presents data to demonstrate how
the gastrointestinal and renal toxicity of non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs can be avoided
by the use of preferential inhibitors of cyclooxygenase-2.

(Combined proceedings of the William Harvey Research Conferences held in
Phuket, Thailand, 18-19th September, 1997 and in Boston, USA, 23-24th April, 1998)
